Reel in Adventure

Hailed as one of the best places to catch walleye, The County touches all the right spots on Lake Ontario and the Bay of Quinte to be able to find pickerel, bass, perch, lake trout, salmon, sheep-head and pike. If you’re not casting from shore or the ice, hop on a fishing charter with local experts or rent a boat and explore several in-land lakes.

Set Sail

Sail between harbours, dock downtown for dinner or just set out to get the best view of The County, from the water.

Paddle into Peace

Navigate the waters with nothing but a board and the classic paddle technique to propel you forward. Seek out serene waters on East Lake, West Lake, Lake on the Mountain, and Black River – all offering idyllic shores for a stand-up or paddle experience.

Explore Nature's Paths

Prince Edward County offers an extensive network of trails waiting to be explored. Sandbanks, a well-known destination, features 10 km of trails, while Macaulay Mountain boasts 11 km of paths suitable for skiing, snowshoeing, or hiking. The Millennium Trail, stretching 46 km, provides an excellent route for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. If you pack your running shoes when you gear up for a trip away, you're in luck: running in The County mixes clean country air with the high likelihood of spotting local wildlife while avoiding vehicles along the roads.
